stud muffin
when i press tab, it takes me to a black screen with white lettering. it says the following, Primary IDE Master : None Primary IDE Slave : st300827A 3 .AAE Secondary IDE master :HL-DT-STDVD-RAM GSA-H22N 1.01 Secondary IDE Slave : None Press DEL to enter SETUP , ESC to enter Boot Menu I realize that my hard drive is not set to the primary one, so when i try to enter setup by hitting the DEL key, it just makes a little clicking sound but doesnt do anything, the same thing also happens when i try to rebbot it from the disc.some one PLEASE help!.thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57738-10410-installation-problem/#findComment-412350 Share on other sites
MoDs
It's better to make your HDD master with your DVD slave. Try to make them primary Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57738-10410-installation-problem/#findComment-412399 Share on other sites

MoDs
that's weird! it's not with the software, or maybe you have an old bios? try upgrading it. browse through the website of your motherboard's manufacture and try to locate the bios upgrade file (usually a .bin file), and the flash utility (preferablly on windows). boinkytwo
your hdd might be physically defective. the clicking sound tells you a mechanical defect inside your hdd. try to use other hdd and set it as your primary master. roxen
Whenever i press DEL to go to setup and change them to primary, it doesnothing except make a weird clicking sound That looks like a problem with your keyboard, maybe a key is stuck. If you can try an other one or disconnect all (USB) hardware.
