pgsnow
Have a Dell Latitude D800 that Im trying to install osx86 with. I first tried with an external USB drive nativvely and when I try to boot it off the external hardrive the LED stays blue constantly and just get a cursor. How do you install osx86 on a laptop when you only have one internal drive. Can some help me with this? I would greatly appreciate it. I've installed in both drives: internal hd and an USB drive and i realized that when I boot it from external drive, really boots from internal hd. I suggest you to put tiger-x86-flat.img in that USB drive, boot from a live cd (ubuntu for example), and then dd it into your internal disk. You will lose all your data, but... seeing that apple is priceless. Sorry about my english, i'm spanish. Good Luck! opieum
I had a friend install it on his and it got to the kernel boot but that is it. When he typed -s or -x or any other option it would quickly bring up messages then just go back to the kernel boot. What could be causing that? He did install to the correct hard drive. He is trying to get it to boot off of the internal drive. He used the Ubuntu method. This also was a vanilla (aka no modifications) D800 btw Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/577-osx86-installation-on-dell-latitud-d800/#findComment-3756 Share on other sites
