Headrush69
I'm looking for an application that can image a DVD but handle read errors. (It's not a movie DVD) I've tried Disk Utility, SimplyBurns, Toast 8 and all fail. (Any hdi based variants seem to fail.) The DVD is UDF format and holds thousands of books, documents, articles. The disc will mount successfully and I can read some files. The files are structured and sorted in folders and when I start selecting them to manually copy, weird things start occurring. (For example, folder and/or file names becomes blank and won't stay selected.) Being a READ-ONLY medium I can't do any kind of directory repair so I could at least determine the ones I may need to find again. (too many to open individually to check) Using Nero or any other Windows based program is NOT an option. Any ideas? Headrush69
It's all academic now. My 2 week old new DVD drive started producing nothing but alignment errors and now the drive is useless. RMA time. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57607-fail-proof-dvdcd-imaging-option-needed/#findComment-411630 Share on other sites

Thanks but I've been Windows free for some time and can't even use Windows in Parallels/Fusion as I'm down to a G4 only system.
