Since this is my first post I'd like to say hello to everyone :)

First of all, I want to thank people here for sharing their knowlege on the subject of running osx on generic x86 hardware, patches and drivers.

I installed Uphuck 1.3 on my Asus Z92Km (barebone on A6Km hardware) SiS-based AMD laptop.

The hardware and what works and what doesn't:

:) AMD Turion64 2Ghz [working, without Cool&Quiet/PowerNow, see *1* below]

:D SIS 756 + SIS 964L chipsets [working, HDD w/UDMA with patch ]

:) SiS 7012 + ALC 65x audio [working, with patch , see *2* ]

:D nVidia Go7300 graphics [working, QE+CI, native resolution, with Nanit 0.2 dual (from install DVD) ]

:D Broadcom BCM4318 [working, able to connect to WPA networks, instructions from here ]

:D Realtek LAN [working, with Realtek driver from install DVD]

:D Fujitsu 100GB 5400rpm PATA HDD [working, with patch mentioned above recognized as SATA]

:( Ricoh MMC,MS,SD Card Reader [not working, haven't really messed with it yet]

:D Firewire [working, detected by the system and visible in network connections, not tested]

:D USB ports [working]

:) Keyboard/Touchpad devices [working, modifier keys remap, see *3* below]

:) IrDA [not working]

:( Modem [not working]

:) Battery [working, AC/DC states detected correctly, power level detected correctly - see question A though]

*1* After installing patch from www.macdotnub.info the system freezes after showing the desktop with the AMD SSE3 kernel from tubgirl. When using kernel provided with patch it displays the "You must restart your computer" message, so essentially the same thing only more civilised.

*2* It's not visible in System Profiler, but shows up as AC97 in the Sound panel.

*3* Needed to remap the modifier keys to work correctly with my (PL Pro) keyboard scheme as follows:

Caps Lock -> Caps Lock

Control -> Command

Option -> Control

Command -> Option

So it's pretty much how it went, pretty much a success save for a few hickups. I hope it will provide a quick "gateway" to correct patches for people with similar hardware. I've got a few questions though:

A. After starting system with power supply unpluged OSX loads but I have no sound and the whole os is slow (especially the desktop animations). I'm guessing it's partially due to the fact that the CPU is slowed down to 800Mhz.

Is there any way to fix that? At least the sound, I can live with slow effects since the rest of the os runs with acceptable speed (enough for portable use). It doesn't see the sound card at all - the AppleAC97Audio.kext is loaded according to kextload.

B. I installed Nanit 0.2 but the dvd also gave a possibility to install "nvidia mobile support" - should I install it or not? How is it different from Nanit? The card is detected as "unknown Nvidia" but works fine with QE and QI supported.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance
