mikessilo
Ive tried switching on and off all the optional bios settings that would make a difference and nothing works. I put in my friends computer who had installed x86 before and it worked but when i put it back in mine it wont boot. It shows the boot screen but then a cricle with a slash appears and it hangs up. Ive also switched out all the bios with this and it still doesnt work Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz 2.0gb RAM No IDE controller All drives are SATA and the hard drives are controlelr by the RAID Using a western digital sata drive - 160gb The OS X version is 10.4.
penguinator
Did you see this thread? Regardless, the crash on bootup you're getting is a kernel panic. Boot in verbose mode (type -v when you get to the Darwin bootloader) and you should get some info. as to why it's crashing.
