I just can't find any solution to the network, firewire and SATA problem ( just audio working like charming ). So, is there anyone who has been able to make work those units??? Chris935 Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 I have a GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-S4 and installed Tubgirl 10.4.10 AMD SSE3 and everything on the board is working. Only problem is I can't get it to read my 300gb PATA drive as bigger than 128GB, but a 300gb SATA drive I have shows up fine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have nvidia 7600GST and it works right out of the box, 2 cores recognized, built-in ethernet is working now (WOW and i dont know how i did it). All that remains is mounting the SATA disks and apply the kext for the NforceATA and ALC883 chip from this site... I could not boot native so i used vmware v6 to install it on a PATA 160GB Disk which is connected from vmware as a physical disk, direct access to the host network and woila!!! all`s good except for the cpus=2 -f -v at the boot prompt....hope this helps AMD Athlon64 X2 38000+ MSI K9N Platinum 1GB AData DDR2 800 Mhz Nvidia 7600GST Maxtor 160GB PATA HDAzalia ALC883 LG DVDRW Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
