differenthink
Hi, I ve got an "old" P4 2Ghz (Costa rica), i m thinking of buying a new Motherboard to make a Hackintosh with it... Do you have any idea of how will be the performance of the P4 2ghz as an Hackintosh ? (maybe a comparison with a G4/5) Thanks a lot for your answer, Guillaume. fagosu
I don't know about a G4/5, but I have a P4 2.6 with 1 Gb of RAM and performance in 10.4.8 is pretty good, I use CS3 and it doesn't feel slow, it's comparable with CS2 on a core duo under XP. I absolutely LOVE osx. Luis Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57034-performance-of-a-p4-2ghz/#findComment-407446 Share on other sites

mspr
Hi, I tried OSX under an AMD 3000+ that is 1.8GHz and it worked very nice. I think that it will be the same with your CPU Very important is how many RAM do you have...
