defuse
Hi have just successfully installed Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3) on a AMD Sempron 3100+ Biostar K8NHA PRO 1gb Crucial Ram 160 Seagate IDE HD Ati Radeon 9700 The only problem that I have, is when I turn on the pc, I get a error stating "Disc boot failure, insert system disk and press enter" If I put the installation disc in the drive and press enter, it loads osx? Do I have to have the installation disc in the drive every time I start osx? I also tried searching on different message board but I didn't find any results sorry for being such a tard. mspr
Hi, Did you select MBR (Master Boot Record) in Disc utility options when you created your HD partition ? Differently I suppose that you have a GUID partition that is not bootable on a common PC. Did you format it with Mac OS Extended Journaled ? You can verify it from Disc Utility. defuse
Did you select MBR (Master Boot Record) in Disc utility options when you created your HD partition ? I didnt see a option for a MBR, I used Hirens Boot Cd9.1. Used Acronics Disc Director. Formatated the entire HD to Fat32 Active Partition. Then loaded the Mac Dvd and Choose "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" as the volume format and erased it.
