mggls22 Posted July 11, 2007 Share Posted July 11, 2007 hi i have a sony dru-810a that i purchased for my pc, and now i would like to use it as an external cd/dvd burner for my macbook pro. i saw an article that mentioned it worked perfectly with a mac but it doesnt seems to work on mine, it wont even recognize it. does anyone know how to make it work?? i could not find any drivers for it online, maybe i didnt look hard enough. i was thinking about creating a partition on my disk for windows xp and use it from there.. but i dont really want to do that unless its the only choice. thanks my specs ................. macbook pro 15 2 ghz intel core duo mac os x 10.4.10 1 gb 667 mhz ddr2 sdram im using the r-driver usb to ide cable kit to connect it to my mbp, it works with my external drive. btw does anyone know how to boot xp from an external drive? thanks again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
