pcfreek14
I'm attempting to install 10.4.8 on my asus A8N-E and every goes smoothly until it starts installing the "Essentials" At this point it instantly stops the install and shows the error "There were problems with the install..." and my only option is to restart and try again. But it never works. What am i doing wrong? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56836-1048-fails-when-installing-essentials-why/ Share on other sites
elfdood
Do you have a SATA HDD if so: you need to patch the iso with the nforce4 medevil ppf. until you do you will not have proper Nforce SATA access... or it could be a bad burn, you could try burning the iso again... pcfreek14
o ya.... sorry im retarded i did read about that somewhere that my SATA doesnt work right. That must be it. ok so i was reading blacksouls thing about the sata issue and he said... First you'll have to patch de Original JaS iso in this order with: 1) JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSe2.SSe3.v1p.ppf 2) Defiant.diskutil.7.ppf 3) bikedude880.ichXr My dvd already has the "JaS 10.4.8 AMD INTEL SSe2/SSe3" included. I can not find the Defiant.diskutil.7.pff by itself. My only luck is a brand new image with it included and i would rather not download another image.... could someone link me to the PFF??? Also i cannot find bikedude880.ichXr. I found a kext by him but i cant seem to find the patch to use with ppf-o-matic. could someone link me to that also?? THANK YOU!
