Absintheur Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 ok, after succesfully installing 10.4.8 and updating to 10.4.10 on my desktop, with not too much of a hassle, (only 1 reinstall, and new network card) i decided to try my luck with my laptop. its a sony s460 with 1.5gb of ram... install went ok, had to repair mbr to get it to boot the 1st time, but heres my problem, i can see the grey apple loading screen, but when it goes to accually boot, i just see what looks like a broken lcd... so i plug in my external moniter and reboot, all is well, i can operate fine, the graphics card is fine, seems to be good, but wont work with the built in display. what am i missing here? also built in wireless not working, i can worry bout that after i get the screen to work, but if some1 wants to help me out here, thats cool too BTW the lcd is fine, im using an extra hd, and windows is fine, theres nothing wrong with the lcd, however it HAS been replaced, but was done by sony Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56693-sony-s460-weird-display-issue/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
