iMac_buster Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 I'm building my first OX86 system and I was wonder what everyone thought of this: GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail $134.99 EVGA 256-P2-N624-AR GeForce 7900GS 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 KO Video Card - Retail $124.99 Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe 2.13GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80557E6420 - Retail $186.00 mushkin 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996527 - Retail $99.99 The only thing I'm not shure about is the motherboard. The reason I need a mATX is that I plan on puting this in a G4 agp case or G4 quicksilver. A mATX is the onlything that will fit an AGP. I could probably fit full ATX into a quicksilver but I figure the more free space the better. Tell me what you think. Tiranofice Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 i say, pick as large as you can, but keep in mind that everything needs to fit, no matter how less space is left. The only thing of importance is to be sure there is enough airflow in your case, just install a fan extra, a cheap one which doesn't make too much noise. Otherwise you'll have to go for a usb sound solution or something, right? How is your build going?
