tucker
Howdy, Will this system be able to run my dodgy XP and the stylish OSX? (i've used both and have had a lot more trouble with XP in 2 months than in 6 months using a mac) ASUS M2N AMD Athlon 64x2 4800+ 2GB DDR2-667 8800GTS 320MB 40GB Seagate IDE -- Could install XP and OSX on this, or buy a 60-80GB HD and install on that 320GB Seagate SATAII Like the idea of Dual Booting OSX and XP, XP for gaming and OSX for pretty much everything else as it crashed less than when i use XP...havent used OSX for a while but want to get back to it =D Cheers, Jimbo. Danyel
Hi Tucker: Just about any system will be able to Dual Boot OS X and Windows. You just need to setup two partitions (One for OS X and one for Windows). I would recommend getting larger hard drive for booting. I have 80GB Hard Drive that I partitioned for OS X and Windows (40GB Each x 2 Partitions = 80GB) and this barely seems large enough. I have been running my Dual Boot System for over a year and I'm fairly happy with the setup. As with you, I use Windows for games and work, and OS X for pretty much everything else. --danyel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/56622-system-and-x86/#findComment-404653 Share on other sites
