h4ck1n705h Posted July 8, 2007 Share Posted July 8, 2007 I have tried desperately many unsuccessful time to just boot from the uphuck 1.3 DVD. 1.hitting F8 all I can see is something that say hd(111,1) uphuck 1.3 dvd(something like that) 2.if I hit enter or -v(same results) it starts loading HFS+ files(big font), blinks screens to another screen that has little font(disappears too quick to read anything), and then reboots the computer I have created a partition on my internal hard drive and have also tried on an external hard drive. Nothing seems to work. I have no idea what is wrong. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanx in advance. jjduro Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 Can someone can point me to a guide to installing on an external hard drive? I have a feeling I'm not doing this properly. I have a similar problem on a friends Toshiba. It doesn't "see" the hard drive. I get to the installation menu, but I'm, not able to format the HD. I can only acess the installion DVD. Any ideas?
