jintosh Posted July 8, 2007 Share Posted July 8, 2007 Hi Folks, I've read and tried almost everything that is in the forum. I've a Dell D620 with BCM57xx DevID 1600. I'm running on 10.4.8 JaS Intel SSE3. I've got Nisa-it's last patch and patched it to 1600. The driver works for 3-5 minutes and then the kernel panics. I've also tried to use the original 5701 kernel extension from 10.4.8, patched to 1600 and changed the "75 71" to "EB 71". Same story, works for a while and kernel panics. The panics is always "Recieved Early..... 5721....". Which from my reading I asume it has to do with NVRAM and Flash incompatibility of driver vs. actual hardware. I'm loading the kext manually, after OSX boot and then runing ipconfig en0 ether <my_mac_address> Does anybody has any suggestions ? Does anyone had success with BCM57xx DEV 1600 in plain 10.4.8 ?? Thanks a lot in advance, Any help would be very much appreciated. ticklemonster Posted July 11, 2007 Share Posted July 11, 2007 yo, i have the same card and computer but i tried all the patches possible but nothing happens. Maybe it cause i have 10.4.7. I had it recognized but grayed out. Weird cause when i install my wireless patch it's not grayed out but still doesn't recognize ethernet.
