Alex Verone
Hello everyone! I placed this same topic in the Windows + VMWare + Hackintosh forum but then i realised i'm not talking about a dual boot. this is a single harddisk, single partition. I tried 10.4.6 and 10.4.7 but they both didn't work at all.. No i have 10.4.8 and it says that the localhost /system/coreservices/loginwindow.app/contents/macos/loginwindow: login window application started. But then it stops. Yesterday I had the still waiting for root device problem but somehow that disappeared.. when I boot normal I get the apple logo and then a screen: 'please restart your computer by holding down the power blablabla...' It stopts with the login window application screen.. The HDD is IDE primary master and the dvd was primary slave but now is secondary master (doesn't make any difference..). CPU is a intel celeron 2,5 ghz. A part of the log: NVDANV30HAL loaded and registered. Apple16X50ACPI1: identified serial port on ACPI Device=UAR1 Apple16X50ACPI2: Identified Serial Port on ACPI Device=UAR2 Apple16X50UARTSync1: Detected 16550AF/C/CF FIF0=16 MaxBaud=115200 Apple16X50UARTSync2: Detected 16550AF/C/CF FIF0=16 MaxBaud=115200 NVDA::probe(display) NVDA::start (display) <1> Jul 7 04:13:55 kextd[25]: kextd_watch_volumes: couldn't set up diskarb sessions Jul 7............. localhost mDNSResponder-108.2 starting ................... localhost DirectoryService[58]: Launched version 2.1 (v353.5) com_apple_driver_RTL139: Ethernet adres .................. Localhost /system/Library/Coreservices/loginwindow.app/contents/macos/loginwindow: login window application started. Then it stops... Can someone help me? IronOxide
I had same problem. My solution: I found that during install, choosing certain "extra" options causes the freeze. Didnt have the time to narrow it down, but it's most likely the login fix or nvidia. Try installing with no extras except the ones you are absolutely positive will work. Mine gets past the freeze now.
