repoz
Hello Does anybody else have this kind of a problem FCP 6 was working ok with 10.4.9, but 6.0.1 is not working any more. The program launches reads all the plugins and everything and then nothing . Evertyhing else from the Final Cut studio is working Motion, Color, etc. My setup Intel bad axe 2 core 2 duo Geforce 7900 gtx 512mb flashed to fx5500 4gb of ram My guess is that maybe apple implemented some kind of a hardware check and since there is no 512mb fx5500 FCP 6.0.1 just does not run any more. Proteo
Look at certain demonized site and you'll find the solution to the problem (as hint, look for 6.0.1). bibendum
Searching as well as I could with Google (not having a demon*** id), I could find nothing... Does this problem strike non-downloaded versions of FCS2? repoz
Its not a qestion of a valid serial number.I have a valid serial. I know that there is an issue of blacklisting certain numbers, but in that case FCP will ask for a new serial. In my case it just quits after loading up. BJMoose
Repoz, in system profiler, is en0 your primary ethernet controller? This has been a problem with some systems, including my own. If en1 or some other number is primary, FC doesn't like that. If that's the case, a simple adjustment in your NetworkInterfaces.plist, repair permissions, and reboot should do the trick. I'm guessing that since we share the same motherboard, that could be your problem. repoz
You are the man. Fixing NetworkInterfaces.plist solved the problem for me.
