rblissitt Posted December 12, 2005 Share Posted December 12, 2005 Scotty, in VMWare it sounds like you're using a virtual disk (disk image in a file) and then imaging it to a real partition later while pc_guru is talking about installing to a real partition using VMWare. Have you tried setting VMWare to use the actual partition directly? That's what I've done and it works. I did have to make sure the partition on which I wanted to install was of type "AF" ahead of time or the 10.4.3 install under VMWare would install, but not boot natively. (On one other PC, I didn't have to create an AF partition ahead of time for some reason - it just created it automatically.) Scotty Posted December 12, 2005 Author Share Posted December 12, 2005 I get the exact same problem when trying to install it on the physical drive directly. I can't even install it because of the 'OSX can not install here because it can not boot from this partition message' DDing it over once I had it installed worked fine for me. Now all I've got to worry about is the mouse issue.
