My T41 has a mini PCI wireless card with an Atheros chipset. The IBM diagnostic CD shows the following information:

Bus 2 Device 2 Function 0:

Device Class: 02H 00H (00H) Ethernet Controller

Vendor ID: 168CH

Device ID: 1014H (Revision 01H)

Interrupt: 11

I have installed JaS 10.4.8 and followed this guide. When I went in to Network in System Preferences it told me I had a new Airport, but it said the device was disabled. When I went in to Internet Connect it said that no Airport hardware had been detected.

I then followed this guide to add a PCI ID of 1014H. I also checked that the Airport is en1. However, there is still no Airport hardware detected. Is there anything I can do, or is the card just unsupported?

TIA

BTW the card is a AR5212 chipset. Here is the info lspci -n returns on the device:0000:02:02.0 0200: 168c:1014 (rev 01)I tried changing the PCI ID to 1014 instead of 1014H but it still doesn't work.Oh hang on it does work! I think it just took a while for the wireless card to become enabled after I corrected the PCI ID and rebooted. So for anyone else trying to get this card working, you have to follow the Atheros guide AND the Broadcom guide, using PCI ID 1014.:P:D :D :D :D
