hey Dylan,

First of all could you tell us your system specs, your motherboard, graphics card, cpu, ram etc. this just makes it easier for us to narrow down your problem. and second of all, have you tried booting into verbose mode? all this does is show you what is happening behind the grey apple screen in text :). so next bootup, rapidy press F8 until you get to your boot screen.. then choose your hard drive where mac is installed.. hit enter and keep hitting F8, you should get to the darwin boot screen. there you must type in " -v " without the quotes ofcourse, and then hit enter.

closely record what it is telling you, and if any problems record them on a piece of paper word by word if possible.

hopefully then we should be able to help you out . oh and if you have a 512mb graphics card there will probably be a simpler solution.

just get back to us on our system etc.

good luck :)

Ok, for system specs:

Intel Celeron D @ 2.93 GHz

ATi Radeon 9550 256mb (I'm running a dual-screen display)

1.5 GB of RAM

Mach Speed P4MBS (Mobo)

I will try verbose mode and post again. Thanks for your help, flyingdutchman.

Ok, -v shows the text and then just goes to the damned blank screen again.

Hey no worries aye.

just to ensure, this is your motherboard right, http://www3.shopping.com/xPF-Mach-Speed-Ma...-3-40GHz-Proces ??

if so you should be pretty good to go for your lan/sound etc as VIA and Intel chipsets work alot better in mac osx86. well for as far as i can tell, you should try taking of a monitor and see if that works? most of the time you have to start of at one monitor, and gradually edit kext files (kernel extensions, kinda like drivers  ) to make everything work. try looking around the Tutorials page, they have loads of tips and tricks, then if your stuck come back here and ask. :)

although im still interested as to what verbose mode will say :)

edit: hmm ok so no problems for loading anything? ahh and also which release of osx86 did you install? most of the newer versions support more hardware as to speak. most of the newer releases come with special packages during installation which you can select in the customize menu during installation, did you select any relating to your card or ATI?

hmm try with your VGA one, the blue one lol. also, search around the genious bar (tutorials) for instructions on installing your graphics card  .

Shouldn't the graphics card work fine since I went through the installation fine and I can see the Apple logo?

Nevermind. I just did system restore on Vista...and now my PC works like a charm. Removed all that mac {censored}.....VISTA FOREVER!!!!!!
