I'm happy !

I bought a 24" iMac / 2.33 GHz / 2GB on february, after several mounth spent using OSX86 :( on a 3.06 GHz Celeron.

First, I'd like to thank you all guys (& JaS of course) for making this possible : booting OS X on a PC is definitly what made me buy a Mac.

I'm a *long-time* Mac user :

  • in 1987 (when I was 14), I bought a used book introducing the 128k Macintosh, even if I didn't have any Mac - I started dreaming :( -
  • in 1991 a frend of mine got a Mac IIc at home, it was the first time I used a Macintosh in my life. Unfortunetly, it wasn't mine
  • in 1997 I started working for a compagny : I was in charge of the 180 macintosh (from Mac SE/30 to Powerbook G3). Wow ! Unfortunetly, they weren't mine.
  • in 1999 I leaved this compagny and returned in a beige world :hysterical:
  • in 2006 I discovered the OSX86 project and installed (thanks JaS) 10.4.6 on my PC
  • in 2007 I finally bought my first Mac : the dream came true :) .

I installed bootcamp & Vista in april but I never used Vista.

In the end of May I formatted my Mac (because of problems with 10.4.9) a re-installed bootcamp but... I leaved the DOS partition blank : It seems I became "Windows-free".

I installed Leopard (WWDC) on an external disc. It rocks !

I love the Web widgets, it's just POWERFULL !

Yes, I'm happy !

Congrats Mao!! :thumbsup_anim: I agree, a real Mac is something else altogether. Now that I've managed to install OSX86 (big thanks to Uphuck, Jas et al..)on my main AMD set-up, I will use this for the heavy applications since a Mac Pro doesn't allow more than 2 internal burners and I use 4. I'm also now thinking of an iMac or a Mac Mini but I'll probably go for an iMac...It's definitely eye candy too and will have everything I need from cam to wireless with no hastles + it will be a standalone music server with my main audio rig.. :police:
