fayze
EDIT: problem solved, see sig for notes and fix. okay, so ive tried a couple different things. i was hoping not to have to ask for help. even so, looks like i must. i'll list my specs first: - Acer Aspire 3680 - Jas 10.4.8 Intel - Realtek HDA dev id: 0883 ven id: 10EC - Microsoft UAA Bus Driver dev id: 27d ven id: 8086 i gave Rammjet's guide for HDA sound (link) a shot, but no success there at all. i have tried skippyretard's azalia audio (link). the AzaliaAudio.pkg makes the speakers work, but no headphones. the ALC883Audio.mpkg gets the headphones to work, but no speakers. go figure huh? any way to splice these together? if so and it works, ill be set. i even tried Taruga's HDA patcher, using various codec dumps, including one i made myself during a linux live cd boot on this comp. when running mine, i could see all my outputs and inputs, but only the headphones worked. not sure about the inputs, but i really dont care too much about those. ive attached my linux codec dump for anyone to look over, just in case it might help. so if anybody has had any personal success or helpful hints or anything, please let me know. i think i have the neccessary info posted. if not, tell me and ill get it for you.
