fannot
I just recently installed OSx86 10.4.8 using the JaS distribution on my laptop, I've listed the specs: Dell Inspiron 1501 AMD Turion64 X2 Processor TL-50 @ 1.6GHz 1GB of RAM ATI Xpress1150 120GB Hitachi SATA HDD (Windows Vista and Ubuntu) 160GB Western Digital Passport External USB HDD (Mac OS X) Integrated Broadcom 440x 10/100 Ethernet SigmaTel Audio Everything seems to be working fine, got Audio to work, managed to install on an external USB HD, but I can't seem to get my ethernet together. I thought it was the drivers, but then once I started playing with the configuration settings, I managed to get OSX to see that my computer had "built-in ethernet" in the network diagnostics. It shows that has a green light and the network settings has a green light, but ISP, Internet, and Server all have red lights and have "failed" underneath them. I have put in IP addresses, then I come to find out Windows Vista has an IPv4 configuration and OSX is configured for IPv6, because under the IPv6 properties in Windows Vista, the connection is "limited". I can see my router, but the router settings page is all screwed up and not loaded all the way, but it is connecting. However, I can't see the internet. Any suggestions?
