collar Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 Dear Friends, Seems my ATI X1800GTO maybe finnicky when installing OSX86 ( or at least I think so ). I'm willing to get an NVidia card in the hope of a smoother problem free installation. Would appreciate much any input on which current PCI-E based NVidia based graphic cards that would not be problematic when installing Uphuck's 10.4.9 OSX86. Set up: Athlon 64x2 4400+ Dual Core Gigabyte GA-K8NF9 Ultra Rev 2 (nForce 4 Ultra) Ati X1800 GTO Graphic Card WD 80 GB SATA HD 2GB Memory NEC 3570 dvd burner Many thanks in advance! Prawker Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 I use an nvidia Geforce 7300LE PCI-E card, and it works great under OS X, core image and quartz extreme work great. Just make sure you select the titan package when installing UpHucks OS X. davorin Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 Got rid of my X1600 card as it showed artifacts under OSx86 and freezed my PC...never under Windows XP though when using OpenGL... mourngrym1969 Posted July 2, 2007 Share Posted July 2, 2007 eVGA and XFX GeForce 7800 GTX w/ 256mb I guarantee you will work with JaS 10.4.8 and Uphuck 10.4.9 DVD 1.3. You can use Natit v 0.2 or Titan. However, if you want multimonitor support, Natit is the way to go (I use both in two different machines AMD 4200+)... Good Luck!
