I used uphuck 1.3 dvd to install osx, but i have a 2disk intel hardware raid (ICH8R) for my windows vista, which osx does not support. Therefore i get the 'still waiting for root device' error on installation and boot of OSX. However, i have a third Disk which is not in any raid, on which i installed osx.

So the problem is this: when the raid is active (even on the disks i dont want to use) the DVD and OSX wont boot. When i disabled RAID in bios, the DVD did boot, and i installed OSX on my third, non-raid disk. But i still want to use Vista too. Therefore i activated the raid disks again, and added mac osx with chain0 to my vista boot menu.

Now when i boot, i get the vista boot menu with an 'mac os x' option. When I choose to boot the mac, i can choose which partition to boot from (so darwin has recognised the non-raid osx disk, even when RAID is active). When i choose the osx partition i see the apple logo, and waiting cursus. But then it stops. When i boot in safe mode it seems the system got stuck on the 'still waiting for root device' again.

So the question: Is there a parameter or an option (like the -v and -x options) to boot OSX so that it will only load the system Hard Disk, and not try to load the other RAID HD's which make the system hang? Because it seems to recognise the system hd and pratition, but keeps getting stuck when the other raid drives with windows are enabled.
