cringemaster Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 Has anyone figured out a way to change the minimum Screen Saver wait time from 3 minutes to something a bit faster. In my case I want it around 15 seconds before it starts, three minutes is an awfully long time before I can show off my screensaver. I know there are hotcorners, but I'd prefer it be automated so that when I walk away it closes off my screen from prying eys or so that when im in bed listening to music Fornt Row or Remote Buddy close off within a few seconds so that I can fall asleep without looking at the album art and track info all night. djh816 Posted July 1, 2007 Share Posted July 1, 2007 Download PlistEdit Pro or another plist editor. In ~/Library/Preferences/byhost/, there should be a com.apple.screensaver._______.plist file. Open that in PlistEdit Pro (or other) and change the idle time to 15 and save. A logout will probably be needed.
