Ok first of all i have a dell xps 410, 2 sata hard drives running xp pro.

At first i got pretty far then it said "still waiting for root device"

then after i did something with my partitions i put disc in pc and restart computer, it says press any button to install mac os x or w/e. press it, it starts and i get an error "AppleHDA.kext unable to locate layout_id properly."

so in short it stays on the black screen

if this has anything to do with it i have 2 dvd drives ones a cd-r/dvd drive the other is a dvd/dvd-r drive to burn dvds in.

Firstly, don't bump your thread three times in 24 hours...

Secondly, it's probably your SATA HDDs. Try some IDE ones.
