naddy69 Posted June 23, 2007 Share Posted June 23, 2007 It's as fast as your hardware. I have it on this IBM ThinkPad T41 laptop, which is a Pentium M 1.6 Ghz with a gig of RAM. It's no speed demon here but is very nice, just like XP. I also have it on a desktop which is a P4 3 Ghz with 2 gigs RAM, and it's very very fast on that, but so is Vista. Both are faster than my "real Mac", which is an old 500 Mhz G4 tower with 768 megs ram. The key is to have compatible hardware. MB chipset and video card are the most important issues. There is a very nice HCL elsewhere on this site that lists many motherboards, video cards, laptops etc. that people have had success with. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
