Egress99 Posted June 22, 2007 Share Posted June 22, 2007 Hello all! After reading a great many posts, I am pleased to say that I got JaS 10.4.8 running on my Acer Travelmate 8100. I have since tried to get my wired ethernet to work correctly using a kext driver and instructions i have found from this site with no avail. I have a Broadcom NetXtreme. I get to the part in Terminal when i have to enter my MAC addresss and nothing happens. I get a another prompt. When i go to see if OSX recognizes my ethernet, it see's that it's there, it just doesnt have any MAC address or anything, which is a step up from where is was. Prior to trying to install the driver, OSX didnt even see it, just my firewire. Any helpful hints, or some basic things i a missing that i have to do?
