mpeters13
Intel 865G Chipset Intel Celeron Process 340 D @ 2.93ghz w/ 768mb pc3200. I'm at a real loss here. I've tried patching both the 8f1099 abd the 8f1111 isos and burn successful dvds. However... when I proceed with the install, the machine just restarts. I get as far as hitting any key to begin the installation, even choosing f8 to boot verbose (and see wth is happening) but alas, the machine just restarts. I wish I could even get as far into the verbose mode to see what's happening. I've tried booting with every kernel flag option available, and I experience the same thing over and over. Very frustrating. Does anyone else w/ this chipset have this problem.? Perhaps it could be cpu related? My cpu is an intel celeron 340 2.93ghz w/ SSE3 and PAE. I patched my 8f1111 (.dmg converted to .iso using ultra iso) a/ the nonx patch, since i don't have nx/xd. Perhaps I should repatch for sse3 emulation anyway? Any clues are helpful. Thanks folks. mpeters13
Solution: After converting to iso w/ ultra iso 7.2, patch w/ Jas's ppf patcher and you're good to go. Thanks both of you for you excellent work. http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=5477 Edited December 6, 2005 by mpeters13 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5481-1043-and-intel-865g-chipset/#findComment-34661 Share on other sites
