steeviebops Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 I'm trying to install 10.4.6 on my new PC using a DVD I previously used successfully with my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. As soon as it finishes loading the extensions and initialises the kernel (at the point where the screen would usually change to the Apple logo) the machine immediately reboots. I've no idea what is causing it, though I'll list my hardware below: Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI (nForce 650i SLI) Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 2GB DDR2-800 250GB Maxtor DiamondMax 10 IDE 256MB nVidia GeForce 7600GS LiteOn LH-20A1S SATA DVDRW I've also tried removing the hard disk from my laptop (with an already installed copy) and putting it in the PC with a 2.5" adapter - same thing.
