SteveNZ Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 I'm running a Western Digital SATA2 HDD in AHCI mode, and the drive supports NCQ (Native Command Queuing), OSX says NCQ is unsupported by the drive/interface though. I'm running the drive on an Intel ICH8R SATA port, and using the ICH7 entry in the kexts to get support for it. Has anyone had any joy getting NCQ working? Or is it a RAID-only feature, and I'm pushing it uphill? I still get an HDD score of about 60 with XBench so performance isn't too bad, but every little bit helps.
