Larry Lamonte
Hi, I just installed Jas's 10.4.8 DVD onto my Pentium 4 desktop. Everything works great, including CI/QE, but I can't get the system to detect any network cards. I tried the built in 3com 3c940, installed the skge.kext from this forum, edited Info.plist -- it just wouldn't see it when I opened the "Networking" Preference app. Then I put in a 3com 3c905 PCI card, which I know is supported (and which I've also used with OSX86 before, back in the deadmoo image days). It wouldn't see that either. I don't really know where to start as far as diagnosing this issue -- might it be the PCI bus? Thanks in advance, Larry My motherboard is a P4P800 Deluxe, which I know other people have gotten to work with OSX86 - with skge.kext for the built-in card or by using a separate PCI card. I'm sure the problem must be something minor that I'm missing. I'd be happy to post parts from my system log files if that would help to diagnose this. roxen
The 3Com driver is PowerPC not Intel. The one from the deadmoo days should be a Intel version...
