bobbyfork Posted June 17, 2007 Share Posted June 17, 2007 Hi All, I have a perfectly working version of Uphuck's 10.4.9 v1.3 OSX on a zd8000 with an ATI Mobility Radeon x600. I didn't know how to get the koverg patch working and installed a Callisto patch which got me to my native resolution of 1440 x 900. The problem is now that I do not have QE/CI enabled and I have the feeling that I must apply the Koverg patch to the original ATIRadeon9700.kext. The orignals were moved into another folder when I had a failed attempt with the Kovery - Callisto combo patch. They were moved into a z0rg folder. It appears that I must have that file in the extensions folder in order for Koverg to work. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? On a side note, does Photoshop CS3 require QE/CI to function well? Or is it only for programs like the screensavers and iTunes visualization? Thanks for the help. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
flow Posted June 17, 2007 Share Posted June 17, 2007 before I upgraded to 10.4.9 and new kernel. CI/QE was working for me, and now they are gone. I guess it was due to the fact that the new 9700.kext doesnt like koverg patch anymore. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

flow Posted June 18, 2007 Share Posted June 18, 2007 solved the problem ...after days of tring get the ATIRadeon9700*.kext from Jas 10.4.8 installation. replace the new ATIRadeon*.kext from this new 10.4.9 update. then apply koverg patch, qe,ci comes back again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
