dimond
I have finally installed OSX86, 10.4.1. I know I should have installed a newer one, but that was not possible, as the laptop I am using refuses to boot off of a DVD. I can read them just fine once inside, but it just wont boot them. So anyway, I went and installed macvidia drivers, without realizing that they were incompatible with 10.4.1, and now it won't boot. So, I figured I'd try to install 10.4.8 JaS (again). After re-downloading it, I burned it onto a DVD, and tried to boot off of it. No such luck. So, I figure I will just install 10.4.1 again, then upgrade to 10.4.8. The problem with that however, is that I cannot boot off of a DVD. Is there any solution? I am using a Toshiba Satellite, with an Intel pentium four (it supports SSE2) and the built in DVD drive. riws
There was a special 10.4.1 to 10.4.3 update pack, and thats the max version to upodate from 10.4.1. But there is a 10.4.6 pre-installed HDD image on internet USB stick / mp3 player is a option if your pc is able to boot from usb Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/54139-can-i-upgrade-from-1041-to-1048-or-greater/#findComment-387004 Share on other sites
