Well, my old G4 is getting pretty long in the tooth. I was looking at the prices for upgrade G4 CPU's and for a 1.6Ghz it's already hitting $250 or so. With that in mind, I've decided to try out a homebuilt Hackintosh :pirate2:. Total price for the whole machine is coming in at under $300. The main components I've specced out is as follows:

Motherboard: ECS 945GZT-M V1.0 LGA 775 Intel 945GZ Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

CPU: Intel Celeron D 331 Prescott 2.66GHz Processor (supports SSE3)

RAM: Transcend 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory

Graphics: MSI GeForce 7300LE 128MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 160GB 7200 RPM SATA

I know the specs are a little low, but they should blow my old Mac out of the water, and I've got a Windows PC for my gaming needs. Just looking for something that runs fast for "desktop use".

Any glaring problems with this setup?

Thanks.
