Xbench crashes on OpenGL test (8f1099)

Xbench used to work fine for me in 10.4.1, but now it crashes when it gets to the openGL test (after installing 8f1099 with the 1.1a patch).

 

This may be related to my other weird problem: the Screen Saver prefpane crashes when I open it (rather, when I switch to the Screen Saver tab of Desktop and Screen Saver). That didn't happen in 10.4.1 either.

 

Any ideas what is wrong?

 

My system (Thinkpad T30):

P4 M 1.8GHz (SSE2, PAE, no NX)

Mobility Radeon 7500
