smocksturr
hello, i'd much appreciate your advice on this. i have a 1.7ghz Celeron pc [sse2] and a spare 10g hd sitting around with no use for. what i'd like to do is install x86 on the 10g drive just to test it out. what i need to do is NOT touch the main drive at all. if i just unplugged the main drive and hooked up the osx drive as master, would i be able to just switch the cables/jumpers again and XP will be all happy again? installing an OS only affects the disk it's on, right? The Baron
Yep, that would work fine, though I'd hook the spare up first and format it FAT32 from XP - will save a bit of hassle later. Then swap over (remove XP drive) and make sure it's set as master, and you're away...
