Hi guys,

I was previously able to install OS X on my old Pentium 4 IBM Thinkpad without much problems. However, with my new desktop, I couldn't even get the DVD to boot properly. On restart after the DVD loads, the screen shows "system config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found". I have tried various methods of installations without any success. Here are my PC specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 2.13GHz 1066MHz FSB/2MB L2 Cache

MSI P965 NEO-F ICH8 MAINBOARD W/GBE/SATA2/USB 2.0

HITACHI 250GB 7200RPM SATA II HDD 8MB

HITACHI 320GB 7200RPM SATA II HDD 8MB

TWINMOS 2GB 5300/667 DDR2 (1GB x 2)

LG GSA-H42N 18X DVD WRITER

I tried removing all my SATA II devices and connecting an IDE hard disk to the motherboard but I still get the same problem. I understand that this might be due to the fact that my computer is using JMicron IDE.

Can anyone enlighten me on what has gone wrong and hopefully offer a solution? Your help is very much appreciated.

Regards,
