argonlazer
Heya. This is really annoying. Whenever I install the 10.4.9 update my Hac. decides to restart when I try and boot into Mac OS X 10.4.8! I have a bit of an odd setup as I Mac is installed on a spair 160gb IDE hardrive and XP is installed on my 250gb SATA, so I use this bootmanager that lets me select which hardrive to boot into etc. I downloaded the update from apple, then after a restart it will say Darwin x86 or something, then show that its trying to load and then it will restart. I assumed it was because I was running the Apple update version so it caused the thing to corrupt, but after installing the torrent version of JaS.10.4.9.Combo.Update.Intel.SSE3.zip, it does exactly the same thing! My computer spec. is as followed.. Video ComponentnVidia GeForce 7300 SE CoreRio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH) Motherboard Name: Rio (GA-8TRC410MNF-RH) Type: ATX motherboard Manufacturer: GigaByteCPUIntel Pentium D model 805 Has anyone got any ideas of what is going wrong? argonlazer
Ok. Now take down the tone of your writing/voice, change your font size and then realise that even though I did try an apple update I also tried a what I assume to be a patched update which was an install package from a torrent and not an apple update. As I stated here with the same effects and exactly the same reason you just gave. I assumed it was because I was running the Apple update version so it caused the thing to corrupt, but after installing the torrent version of JaS.10.4.9.Combo.Update.Intel.SSE3.zip, it does exactly the same thing! This means that I had already done what you suggested after a fresh installation. Ok. so now i hope your embarresed and can you help me?
