Pasto69 Posted June 6, 2007 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Hi, i try to install a JAS 10.4.8 SS2 SS£ PPF1 & PPF2 ecc... on my Dell XPS M170 (Nvidia 6800Ultra) without really get a boot... I install the system on my USB 2.0 HD and everything seem to go fine... I reboot and after the optimizing a prompt ask me to reboot the mac... After a reboot when OSX start i will get the ask to reboot again... What's the problem?? spartango Posted June 7, 2007 Share Posted June 7, 2007 Ok, it has been established from many, many tests, that Mac OS X doesn't boot very well/at all from USB harddisks. We don't know why, but its a fact. OSX boots from firewire drives, and internal drives, which are both good options. Also, you can boot from a partition on your hd.
