MacVidia Driver for 10.4.9

I have ASUS A8JS notebook with NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700 (512mb).

I have installed

JaS.Mac.OS.X.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.PPF.1.Defiant.diskutil.biker880.ich7-R.patch.Integrated.iso

MacVidia driver 1.0.81 can let the system recognize my video card as 512mb and give me

display resolution to 1440x900, althought QE/CI not enabled.

And RTL1xxx_1.02.pkg let my Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC works well.

But After I update to 10.4.9 by Jas 10.4.9Bo Update Intel Sse3.zip, the display become back to 1024x768

and the system recognize my video card as 256mb. Even I reinsalled MacVidia driver 1.0.81, it doesn't work.

My Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC also doesn't work anymore....

Someone has any idea to help me??? Thank you very much....

  • 4 weeks later...

yeah I have the same notebook and with a 10.4.9 kernel that came with uphuck v1.3 natively. After installed the MacVidia v1.0.81, the OSX will not even boot anymore. The grey apple screen then straight to the "4 language error message" to power off. Anyone can teach me how to get this Geforce Go 7700 (512M is the program) to work at 1440 x 900?

Many thanks!
