kfree
hi, i have a AMD Athlon 64 ClawHammer 3ghz and Gigabyte K8T800M motherboard; i'm using 10.4.3_8f1111 and work well, but i don't understand why i can't see my sata hd, and my pata hd work slow, at 3,5mb/s (xbench result) i also have tried 10.4.1, and sata work, pata also work well (45mb/s).. but new release don't mean better performance & compatibility? regards, kfree Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5292-1043-hd-problem/ Share on other sites
macgirl
Is the lack of the AppleVIAATA.kext on 10.4.3 10.4.3 only install Basic IDE/ATA/SATA support for Intel chipsets, you need to add that kext manually. The speed has to do with your IDE channels are detected as Intel PIIX compatible, but only in PIO mode. AppleVIATA adds support to UDMA and SATA. wiebeest
hi, i have a AMD Athlon 64 ClawHammer 3ghz There's no such thing as a 3 Ghz Clawhammer AMD64. You mean 3000+? That's not clocked @3 but @2 Ghz (unless you have it abominally overclocked with watercooler and use a refrigerator for case... ). macgirl
what graphic card (agp) is better supported? ciao kfree Those ATI 9xxx like yours, better than that right now the ATIs X300 put they are PCI-E. But expect more supported in the future builds/releases. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5292-1043-hd-problem/#findComment-33745 Share on other sites
