Gummo Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 Hello, I have 10.4.8 JaS installed and I never had to edit any kexts or install any new drivers or anything. What is, in your opinion, the best way for me to upgrade 10.4.9. I was also wondering if it's possible to just update through the Apple Software Update app and what would be the difference between updating with a modified kernel and the "official method". comedown Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 I'd be interested in the answer to this as I only have 10.4.7 (not got round to installing it yet). Having only used a mac for 5 seconds 4 years ago and laughing at the one button on the mouse ( i know, but I was young and didn't know any better) do I have to switch any auto updates off or is the mac unlike a pc and only installs updates when you want it to? (Do you really think switching of windows update actually stops it installing Bill's spyware!!) Thanks PS quite looking forward to having a play with this.
