rezha
Vendor: 1180 Device ID: 0476 I got this Ricoh cardbus embedded in my notebook and it's not recognized. I tried all the possibilities in the forum, for Texas Instruments and not. I have 10.4.8. Any way to make it work? Thanks in advance.

The Q
Same problem here... I have a Dell d420 laptop. I have everything else working aside from the PCMCIA slot (Ricoh R/R4/ 5c476(II)) running Uphuck v1.3 10.4.9 Any assistance would be great! The Q
I fixed it: 1. Copy all the files contained in the attached zip into /System/Library/Extensions (make sure you backup files first!) $ sudo -cp -r *.kext /System/Library/Extensions 2.Delete the following files: $sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext $sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache 3. Verify and fix permissions through Disk Utilities 4. Reboot. Then you are done! Q IOPCCard.zip
eyemac
Where are the kexts from in your solution? Did you modify any of them? I opened the IOPCCARD.kext with Pref Setter but could not readily idendify any difference between my 'native' 10.4.10 (from 10.4.9 Koolkal) kext and yours. Thanks, Steve
