Docking station issue

Hi all,

 

I've got a strange issue with my IBM X40 notebook. When I do install OS X while the notebook is docked, it will boot and work flawlessy as long as it is docked. However when I disconnect it from the dock, the boot process fails at a very early stage.

Any hints?
