kseelbo Posted May 25, 2007 Share Posted May 25, 2007 Hi all, I just installed JaS 10.4.8 DVD and everything worked great except the sound on my DFI 945GTMGF motherboard. The codec ID for the sound is VEN8086 (Intel correct?) and DEV27DE. On the Windows side it uses RealTek Audio drivers and the chip shows ALC655 on it. I searched the forums and only found fixes for ALC655 using a VIA southbridge (has different ID's as well). Something seems screwy here since I thought the 8086 Vendor ID is telling me it is an Intel chipset, not Realtek. Also, when I try to modify AppleAC97IntelICH.kext to add my device ID, I get nothing. I noticed it only goes up to ICH6, not ICH7. Hopefully someone has a clue where I can start working to get this working. Thanks in advance!
