Hey, I've looked around the forums, but either this issue is obvious or it just hasn't been written about. I'm wondering if the symptoms are indicative of a common problem, though.

I recently installed 10.4.3 (been a bit lazy in doing so, since my old install worked fine) and all of a sudden random things aren't working. My speed is excellent and the OS is stable, and all of the Maxxuss patches are installed (running SSE2 with NX), except for those extra patches on the ISO because my system refuses to boot when I attempt to patch CoreGraphics and libSystem.B.dylib. (It hangs at the "starting Mac OS X" progress bar, right before the login window, once the progress bar is full.)

*However*, various things randomly crash. Safari simply terminates itself on certain websites, Dashboard widgets other than the Calculator widget show up on the screen for a few seconds and then disappear (attempt to load and fail), Software Update and Desktop & Screen Saver (probably other ones too) cause System Preferences to terminate without a displayed error, and most annoyingly, open/save dialogs simply do not appear.

Does this sound familiar, at all?
