I have the Acer Aspire 5670 I don't have to say much of the specs, BUT , i do know that it's something to do with either the CPU or the Video ATI Mobility 1600xt 512mb the laptop says its also PCI express CPU is the Core Duo 1 1.66ghz ( Yes before every boot, i use the cpus=1) I do this every time.... cpus=1 -x -v And they grey apple screen shows up, and a revolving circle under it will spin. Then the screen goes completely black, Now... In the dialog, it says that it finds the ATI radeon 1600 But for some reason it doesnt show I tried the 1 / 2 wire trick still nothing.. I have the Jas SSE 2 and SSE3 intel and amd package on installation, there are no partitions but the one... I deselected: Languages Printer drivers x11 Extra ati/nvidia support, AMD drivers I selected Intel drivers.
