enodr
Hi, I am running OS X 10.4.8 SSE2/SSE3 on a P4 Extreme Edition with a NVIDIA FX5500 with Titan drivers. CI/QE are enabled. Everything works fine except that when I want to play a full HD video, it is quite slow. It plays at like 15/20fps instead of full 25/30 fps (tried with VLC and Quicktime). Under Linux (and Windows in Vmware under Linux), the video played flawlessly. Aside this problem, everything is working well, the system is fast. Anyone experienced such troubles? What can I do? adowoMAC
In my case the problem was the soundcard. Disable for test if possible and play the video again. Hendrik
enodr
I have unloaded the sound kext, and turned off the sound in both VLC and quicktime, but playback is still slow... Quicktime eats 100% CPU (I have a 3,2Ghz P4 Extreme Edition, not what I would call a low end CPU). Strange... I would like to try the same video on a Mac to see the difference. If someone want to try URL is here: http://usa.canon.com/app/html/See_The_Diff...e/hd_cmos.shtml Try the full HD videos.
mindaugas
I get choppy HD video as well, but regular video works fine, my hackintosh is in my sig. the sound is perfect, its the video that's choppy. I just finished patching WoW and that runs great, but HD video runs choppy normal video (avi, mov) plays fine, but the sound is horrible. weird ... I updated to the latest kernel from the IRC channel and it fixed the issue. dang, that girl is a babe http://downloads.canon.com/seethedifferenc...ne_mode_med.mov
